Department of Assistive and Rehabilitation Services
DARS helps individuals with a physical or mental, injury or disability (Dr. Diagnosed) that could impair their work ability. DARS assists with finding or keeping employment, gaining skills needed for a career through education or training, learning how to prepare for a job interview or getting the accommodations needed to stay employed are just a few of the ways this program helps people with increase productivity and independence.
The Vocational Rehabilitation Program serves people with a wide variety of disabilities, for example:
- impaired functioning of arms or legs
- back injury
- knee injury
- hearing impairment
- alcoholism or drug addiction
- intellectual and developmental disabilities
- learning disability
- traumatic brain injury and mental illness
- other physical or mental disabilities that prevent the person from finding and keeping a job.
Do I qualify?

How do I apply?
